Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Grid Integration to join their innovative team, working remotely to support the development of renewable energy infrastructure in Glasgow and beyond. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and analysis for grid connection projects, ensuring compliance with grid codes and standards.
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability studies to assess the impact of renewable energy generation on the power system.
- Develop technical specifications for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
- Collaborate with grid operators, project developers, and equipment suppliers to facilitate project approvals and execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical engineering issues related to grid integration and power system stability.
- Mentor junior electrical engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on grid connection of renewable energy projects.
- In-depth knowledge of power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP) and grid codes.
- Experience with protection schemes, fault analysis, and power quality assessment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
