About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to their innovative grid modernization initiatives. Working entirely from home, you will play a key role in designing and developing advanced electrical systems that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of power grids. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical components and systems for grid modernization projects, including smart grid technologies and distributed energy resources.
- Perform complex power system analysis, including load flow, fault studies, and stability simulations, leveraging remote access tools.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional remote teams, including software engineers, data analysts, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in power systems technology and their application to grid modernization efforts.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on power grid infrastructure.
- Proven experience with grid modernization concepts, renewable energy integration, and smart grid technologies.
- Proficiency in power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, CYME) and experience with digital engineering tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
