Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize medium and low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
• Develop and review detailed engineering designs, single-line diagrams, and protection schemes for distribution networks.
• Conduct load forecasting, system planning studies, and fault analysis to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Oversee the technical aspects of substation design and equipment specification, including transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
• Collaborate with field operations teams, project managers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and successful project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise on distribution system projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical power distribution engineering.
• Strong knowledge of distribution system components, protection principles, and fault current calculations.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software (e.g., CYME, ETAP, PSCAD).
• Experience with grid modernization initiatives, smart grid technologies, or distributed generation is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and remote collaboration skills.
