Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team in London . This role is pivotal in the design, development, and implementation of advanced power systems solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of electrical power systems, including distribution networks, substations, and control systems.
• Conduct detailed electrical calculations , simulations, and analyses to ensure system performance, safety, and compliance.
• Develop and review technical drawings, schematics, and construction documents using CAD software.
• Oversee site installations, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems .
• Proven experience with HV/MV power distribution , protection schemes, and earthing systems.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PSS/E) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of relevant UK and international electrical standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
