About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to innovative projects within the energy sector, based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems, ensuring they meet stringent safety and performance standards. This role involves working on a variety of projects, from power generation to distribution and renewable energy integration, requiring a strong technical foundation and problem-solving acumen. The position operates under a hybrid model, facilitating collaboration with colleagues while offering flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for energy-related applications.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Conduct electrical safety analyses and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system malfunctions and performance issues.
- Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Significant experience (e.g., 7+ years) as an Electrical Engineer in the energy or industrial sector.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Strong understanding of power systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
