About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, control systems, and power distribution layouts using industry-standard CAD software.
• Perform detailed circuit analysis , simulations, and component selection to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into larger projects.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes and production units, identifying and resolving design flaws.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of learning and best practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical system design and development.
• Proficiency with ECAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong understanding of power electronics, microcontrollers, embedded systems, and communication protocols.
• Experience with testing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems and hardware.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
