Senior Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their expanding operations in Leeds . This role is central to managing the successful execution of electrical engineering projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of project management methodologies, and extensive experience in overseeing complex electrical installations and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of electrical engineering projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate and supervise site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met and stakeholders are satisfied.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
• Conduct project reviews, track progress, and prepare comprehensive status reports for senior management.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical project management or a senior project engineering role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver successful outcomes.
• Strong understanding of project management software and tools.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and relevant health and safety legislation .
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
