Senior Embedded Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and innovative Senior Embedded Electrical Engineer to join their advanced technology division in Edinburgh . This role is central to the design, development, and integration of embedded electrical systems within sophisticated product lines. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of embedded electrical components, from initial concept and schematic design through to validation and production support. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded electrical circuits and systems, including schematics and PCB layouts.
• Select appropriate microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and other embedded components.
• Integrate embedded electrical designs with other system components, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Perform detailed testing and validation of embedded systems, including functional and performance testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and firmware-related issues encountered during development and production.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and firmware developers to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering , Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems design.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures, digital and analog circuit design.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., KiCad, Eagle, Altium).
• Experience with firmware development tools and debugging techniques is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
