About the Role
AE Talent Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Employment Adviser to lead a team of six Employment Advisers delivering the WorkWell programme across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employability professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for helping people overcome barriers to employment.
The WorkWell programme supports people with health conditions, mental health needs or other challenges to find suitable employment, return to work following sickness absence, or remain in work where their employment may be at risk.
The role is primarily focused on team leadership, supervision and performance, rather than holding a permanent individual caseload. However, you will be expected to provide temporary caseload cover when required.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise and develop a team of six Employment Advisers.
*
Provide regular one-to-one supervision, coaching and performance support.
*
Monitor team performance, caseloads and contractual targets.

Ensure the team delivers high-quality, person-centred employment support.

Support advisers to identify and address participants’ barriers to work.
*
Help participants move into suitable employment, return to work or remain in employment.
*
Provide guidance on action planning, job searching, CVs and interview preparation.
*
Support advisers to work effectively with people experiencing health-related barriers.
*
Build relationships with local employers to develop suitable employment opportunities.
*
Develop partnerships with healthcare professionals, Jobcentre teams and community organisations.
*
Promote joined-up working between employment, health and support services.
*
Monitor service quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
*
Maintain accurate records and ensure contractual and reporting requirements are met.
*
Manage competing priorities and respond to changes in service demand.
*
Provide temporary caseload cover during staff absence or periods of increased demand.
About You
*
Experience working within employability, employment support, careers advice or a related service.
*
Previous experience supervising, coaching or line-managing staff.
*
A strong understanding of the barriers people can face when accessing or retaining employment.

Experience supporting individuals to develop action plans and achieve positive employment outcomes.
*
A Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), or equivalent, or at least two years’ demonstrable experience providing employability support, advice or guidance.
*
Strong communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
*
The ability to motivate a team, manage performance and maintain service standards.
*
Confidence building relationships with employers and external partners.
