About the Role
Our client, a highly regarded commercial law firm, is looking for an experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to lead their growing Employment Law practice in Bristol . This role requires a seasoned professional to advise a diverse range of corporate clients on all aspects of employment law, from day-to-day HR issues to complex litigation and strategic advisory work. You will be responsible for managing significant cases, developing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on all areas of employment law , including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, and TUPE.
- Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in Employment Tribunal claims and Employment Appeal Tribunals.
- Advise on complex employee relations issues, such as disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Conduct employment law training for HR professionals and management teams.
- Develop and manage client relationships, identifying opportunities for business development.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years' post-qualification experience in employment law .
- Proven track record in advising corporate clients on contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Strong advocacy skills and experience in representing clients before employment tribunals.
- Excellent drafting skills for employment documentation and settlement agreements.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload and provide strategic advice.
- Demonstrated experience in business development and client relationship management.
