Senior Employment Lawyer

About the Role

Our client, a leading law firm in Stoke-on-Trent , is seeking a highly experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to lead its dedicated employment law team. This role involves providing expert advice to both employers and employees on a full spectrum of employment law matters, including complex disputes, discrimination claims, and advisory work on HR issues. You will play a key role in business development, client relationship management, and mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities

• Advise employers and employees on all aspects of employment law , including contracts, policies, and dismissals.
• Represent clients in employment tribunals and higher courts in contentious cases.
• Provide strategic advice on HR matters, including restructuring, TUPE, and redundancy programs.
• Draft and review employment contracts, settlement agreements, and company policies.
• Develop and implement proactive employment law strategies for corporate clients.
• Conduct internal investigations and provide training on employment law compliance.

Requirements

• A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with extensive experience (minimum 7 years' PQE) in employment law .
• Proven track record of successfully handling complex employment tribunal claims and litigation.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent advocacy and negotiation abilities.
• Experience in mentoring and supervising junior legal professionals.
