About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Environment Artist to join their creative team in Liverpool . You will be responsible for crafting immersive and visually compelling game worlds, bringing them to life through detailed modeling, texturing, and lighting. Working within a collaborative art team, you will interpret art direction to create believable and engaging environments that enhance the player's experience. Your expertise in creating high-fidelity assets and implementing them within the game engine will be crucial. Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D environment assets , including props, architecture, and foliage, adhering to art direction and technical specifications.
• Assemble and dress environments within the game engine , focusing on composition, lighting, and atmosphere.
• Develop realistic and stylized textures and materials using industry-standard software.
• Optimize environment assets for performance and memory usage across target platforms.
• Collaborate with level designers, lighting artists, and other art disciplines to ensure cohesive world-building.
• Contribute to the development of environment art pipelines and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as an Environment Artist in the game industry, with shipped titles in your portfolio.
• Strong proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush) and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Designer/Painter, Photoshop).
• Experience working with modern game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity, including lighting and asset integration.
• A keen eye for composition, color theory, form, and architectural design.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
• Passion for creating immersive and believable game worlds .
