About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Environmental Health Officer to join their public health team in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and provide expert advice to businesses and residents. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of food businesses to ensure compliance with food safety legislation.

- Enforce environmental health legislation through appropriate measures, including serving notices and initiating legal proceedings when necessary.
- Provide advice and education to businesses and the public on environmental health matters.

Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or eligible for registration.
- Significant experience in local authority environmental health services.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental health legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and negotiation skills.
