About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of food businesses to ensure compliance with food safety legislation.

• Enforce environmental health legislation through appropriate measures, including serving notices and initiating legal proceedings when necessary.
• Provide advice and education to businesses and the public on environmental health matters.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or eligible for registration.
• Significant experience in local authority environmental health services.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental health legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and negotiation skills.
