About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Senior Exhibit Designer to join their dynamic team in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK . You will translate curatorial vision into tangible, immersive experiences, working with a multidisciplinary team of fabricators, graphic designers, and content specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of innovative and accessible museum exhibits from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with curators, researchers, and educators to ensure content accuracy and interpretative goals are met.
• Produce detailed design documentation, including concept sketches, mood boards, 3D models, and technical drawings.
• Oversee the fabrication and installation process, liaising with external contractors and ensuring quality standards.
• Integrate interactive technologies, multimedia elements, and tactile components into exhibit designs.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring all design deliverables are met efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven track record with 5+ years in exhibit design , preferably within a museum or gallery setting.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful exhibit projects.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max) and CAD.
• Excellent understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and accessibility standards in public spaces.
• Ability to articulate design concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• A degree in Exhibition Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related creative field.
