Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to join their remote team, contributing to global Oil & Gas exploration efforts. This position is crucial for identifying and evaluating new prospective areas for hydrocarbon discovery. You will leverage advanced geological and geophysical data, collaborate with international teams, and provide expert insights to guide exploration strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon provinces and play concepts globally.
- Integrate diverse datasets, including seismic, well logs, core data, and regional geological information.
- Develop and refine geological models for exploration targets.
- Conduct detailed prospectivity assessments and risk analyses.
- Collaborate closely with exploration teams, including geophysicists and reservoir engineers, in a remote setting.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for exploration portfolio management.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas exploration, with a strong focus on basin analysis and prospect generation.
- Proven track record of successful exploration discoveries or significant contributions to exploration campaigns.
- Proficiency with geological modeling software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent understanding of structural geology, stratigraphy, and sedimentology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for remote team collaboration.
