Senior Exploration Geoscientist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Exploration Geoscientist to join their team based in Bristol . This role is integral to the discovery and evaluation of new mineral assets through the application of advanced geophysical and geological techniques. You will be responsible for designing, acquiring, and interpreting exploration data, contributing to the strategic direction of the company's exploration portfolio. Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage geophysical surveys (e.g., seismic, magnetic, gravity, IP) for mineral exploration targets.
• Integrate and interpret multi-disciplinary exploration data, including geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets.
• Develop 3D geological and geophysical models to define drill targets and assess resource potential.
• Oversee data acquisition quality control and ensure efficient data processing workflows.
• Collaborate with exploration teams to refine exploration strategies and project planning.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and summaries for management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Earth Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in exploration geophysics, preferably in the mining sector.
• Strong expertise in geophysical data processing and interpretation software (e.g., Geosoft Oasis Montaj, Petrel).
• Solid understanding of geological principles and their application in mineral exploration.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
