Senior Facilities Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Facilities Engineer to oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of their production facilities in Glasgow, Scotland, UK . This role is critical for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all upstream processing facilities within the Oil & Gas sector. You will lead engineering efforts, manage projects, and provide technical expertise to optimize facility performance and lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of new production facilities and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the integrity and reliability of processing equipment.
• Oversee project execution, managing timelines, budgets, and contractor performance.
• Ensure all facility operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to improve facility efficiency and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities engineering , preferably within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Strong knowledge of process design, rotating equipment, static equipment, and utility systems.
• Proven experience in project management, including scope development, cost estimation, and scheduling.
• Familiarity with HSE management systems and operational risk assessment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
