About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Facilities Engineer to join their team in Cambridge . This role is crucial for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of onshore and offshore oil and gas processing facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of these complex assets, adhering to the highest industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background and a proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects within the challenging Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer oil and gas processing facilities, including topsides, pipelines, and utilities.
- Develop P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and process flow diagrams.
- Manage the procurement, installation, and commissioning of facility equipment and systems.
- Oversee facility operations and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and asset integrity.
- Conduct technical reviews and HAZOP studies for facility modifications and new designs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong understanding of process design, equipment selection, and safety principles for hydrocarbon processing.
- Experience with P&ID development, equipment specifications, and HAZOP studies.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME).
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
