About the Role

Our client, a dynamic film production company based in Liverpool , is seeking a highly skilled Senior Film Editor to join their post-production team. You will be responsible for assembling raw footage into compelling narratives for feature films, documentaries, and promotional content. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of pacing and rhythm, and the ability to collaborate effectively with directors and producers. You will play a vital part in shaping the final output of our client's diverse projects, ensuring a polished and impactful viewing experience for audiences across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into coherent and engaging narrative structures for various film projects.
• Collaborate closely with directors and producers to understand their vision and translate it into the edit.
• Select the best takes, sequences, and transitions to create a seamless flow.
• Incorporate sound effects, music, and color grading to enhance the final product.
• Manage and organize project files, ensuring efficient workflow and version control.
• Provide creative input and solutions to storytelling challenges during the editing process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a film editor, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency with non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
• Excellent understanding of storytelling, pacing, and dramatic structure.
• Experience with color correction and basic sound mixing techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment in Liverpool .
