About the Role

Our client, a dynamic film production company based in Coventry , is seeking a highly skilled Senior Film Editor to join their post-production team. You will be responsible for shaping narrative and pacing across a variety of film projects, from short films to documentaries and corporate videos. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of storytelling, and the technical expertise to deliver polished, engaging content. Working closely with directors and producers, you will play a crucial part in bringing creative visions to life, ensuring that the final product resonates with audiences and meets project objectives within specified timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into compelling narratives, adhering to script and director's vision.
• Assemble rough cuts, fine cuts, and final masters for various film projects.
• Incorporate music, sound effects, and graphics to enhance the final edit.
• Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and sound designers throughout the post-production process.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion.
• Perform color correction and basic sound mixing as needed to achieve the desired aesthetic.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Film Editor , with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro , Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Deep understanding of cinematic storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure.
• Experience with video codecs, formats, and post-production workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
