About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Film Editor to join their creative team in Coventry . You will be responsible for assembling raw footage into compelling narratives, working closely with directors and producers to achieve the desired artistic and emotional impact. This role demands exceptional storytelling abilities, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency with industry-standard editing software. You will play a crucial part in the post-production process, shaping the final cut of feature films, documentaries, and short-form content, contributing significantly to the overall quality and success of each project within a collaborative studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into a cohesive and engaging final product, adhering to project deadlines and creative briefs.
• Collaborate closely with directors and producers to understand their vision and translate it into the edit.
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions to the edit as required, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Select appropriate music, sound effects, and visual effects to enhance the narrative and pacing.
• Maintain organized project files and archives for efficient retrieval and future use.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in film editing and post-production.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Film Editor , with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
• Excellent understanding of storytelling, pacing, and rhythm in filmmaking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with creative teams.
• Experience with color grading and sound mixing is advantageous.
