Senior Financial Accountant (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned and proactive Senior Financial Accountant to join their team, operating entirely on a remote basis. This role is critical for managing and enhancing the company's financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will be a key contributor to the finance department, working independently but collaboratively with a distributed team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and finalisation of statutory financial accounts.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP and other relevant regulations.
• Develop and implement improvements to financial reporting systems and processes.
• Provide financial support and analysis for various business units and projects.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial post-qualification experience.
• Expertise in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and financial analysis .
• In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience with large ERP systems and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in a virtual working environment.
