Senior Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations in Liverpool . This key role will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, drive process improvements, and provide critical financial insights to support strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial compliance.
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads.
• Manage external audits and liaise with auditors.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and financial control.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
