Senior Football Coach

About the Role

Our client is searching for a highly motivated and strategic Senior Football Coach to take charge of their acclaimed youth academy in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for developing elite young talent, implementing a progressive coaching philosophy, and fostering a positive and performance-driven culture within the academy. This position requires a coach with a proven track record in player development and a deep understanding of the modern game, aiming to nurture the next generation of professional footballers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive training plans and tactical strategies for the senior academy teams.
• Identify, scout, and recruit promising young players to join the academy programs.
• Provide expert technical and tactical coaching, focusing on individual player development and team cohesion.
• Mentor and guide assistant coaches and support staff, promoting a collaborative coaching environment.
• Monitor player performance, fitness levels, and well-being, ensuring holistic development.

Requirements

• UEFA A Licence or equivalent coaching qualification.
• Significant experience (minimum 7 years) in coaching and developing young athletes, ideally within an academy setting.
• Proven ability to implement effective player development pathways and tactical systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
• Excellent understanding of sports science, nutrition, and injury prevention principles.
