About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Formulation Scientist to join their dynamic R&D team in Plymouth . This role is central to the design, development, and optimization of new product formulations. You will be responsible for transforming scientific concepts into stable, effective, and marketable products. Working in a state-of-the-art laboratory, you will lead formulation projects, conduct extensive testing, and ensure that all formulations meet rigorous quality and regulatory standards, contributing significantly to the company's product pipeline and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop novel formulations for diverse product applications, ensuring stability and efficacy.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of formulations, including physical, chemical, and performance characterization.
• Optimize existing formulations to improve performance, reduce costs, or enhance manufacturing feasibility.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot formulation-related issues and provide technical solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to product formulation.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in product formulation development.
• Proven expertise in formulation techniques and stability testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of material science, polymer chemistry, or related disciplines.
• Experience with analytical techniques for characterizing formulated products.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
