About the Role

Our client, a renowned studio situated in the vibrant city of Plymouth , is seeking an accomplished Senior Gameplay Programmer to join their dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and efficient gameplay systems and features using C++.
• Collaborate closely with game designers and other programmers to realize gameplay vision and mechanics.
• Optimize game performance, identify and resolve bugs, and ensure code quality and stability.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior programming staff.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical planning for new game features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in game programming , with a strong focus on gameplay systems.
• Expertise in C++ programming and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Strong understanding of linear algebra, physics, and game design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a structured, in-studio development environment.
