Senior Geologist - Exploration

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist to spearhead exploration efforts within their UK operations, based in London . Key Responsibilities

• Lead geological field campaigns, including data collection, mapping, and sample analysis for mineral exploration projects.
• Develop and interpret geological models using advanced software and techniques to identify and assess potential resource targets.
• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and data analysis to evaluate the viability of new exploration areas.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, presentations, and technical documentation for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with drilling teams to plan and oversee exploration drilling programs, ensuring data quality and efficient execution.
• Mentor junior geologists and provide technical guidance to the exploration team.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Economic Geology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration geology, with a strong focus on resource estimation and modeling.
• Proficiency in geological software such as Leapfrog, ArcGIS, and industry-standard modelling tools.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and advancing mineral prospects through exploration phases.
• Excellent understanding of geological principles, mineral deposit types, and exploration techniques relevant to the UK geological setting.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex geological datasets.
