Senior Geologist - Remote Exploration

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret geological and geophysical data, including seismic, well logs, and core data, to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon prospects.
• Develop and refine geological models and maps for exploration acreage.
• Prepare detailed geological reports and prospect assessments to support exploration decision-making.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including geophysicists and reservoir engineers, in a virtual environment.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological software, techniques, and exploration technologies .
• Contribute to the definition and execution of regional exploration strategies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology or a related geoscience discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in exploration geology within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong proficiency in geological interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, GeoGraphix) and data analysis techniques.
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and evaluating exploration prospects.
• Experience with sequence stratigraphy , sedimentology, and structural geology.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and remote work skills.
