About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct detailed geological field surveys and subsurface investigations.
• Analyze and interpret geological data, including seismic, borehole, and geophysical information.
• Develop and manage geological models to predict resource availability and extractability.
• Assess and mitigate geological hazards and risks associated with mining operations.
• Prepare comprehensive geological reports and technical documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize extraction strategies and ensure safety compliance.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in geological exploration and mining.
• Proven expertise in geological modelling software and data interpretation techniques.
• Strong understanding of rock mechanics, structural geology, and deposit types relevant to the UK mining landscape.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various operational sites across Scotland .
