Senior Geoscientist - Seismic Interpretation

About the Role

Our client seeks an accomplished Senior Geoscientist specializing in Seismic Interpretation to join their fully remote team, supporting operations in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK . This role is critical for identifying and defining subsurface hydrocarbon potential through the advanced analysis of geophysical data. You will play a key part in de-risking exploration ventures and guiding development decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced 2D and 3D seismic data interpretation to identify and delineate potential hydrocarbon prospects.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and regional geological frameworks.
• Utilize state-of-the-art seismic interpretation software and techniques.
• Conduct geological risk assessments and contribute to prospect maturation.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geologists to build integrated subsurface models.
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Geology, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in seismic interpretation within the E&P industry.
• Expertise in seismic data processing concepts and interpretation workflows.
• Proficiency with industry-standard interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom, IHS Markit).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex geological structures.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities, suited for a remote working environment.
