Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic plans for turf health, irrigation, and pest management across the entire golf course.
- Manage, train, and lead a team of groundskeepers, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality execution of daily tasks.
- Oversee the budget for course maintenance, including labor, equipment, supplies, and capital expenditure projects.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices for water conservation and chemical use.
- Operate and maintain a fleet of specialized golf course maintenance equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with golf professionals and club management to meet the expectations of golfers regarding course conditions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent, with a strong understanding of turfgrass science and management.
- Demonstrable leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for course operations.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, drainage, and integrated pest management techniques.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., GCSAA) or a degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field is highly desirable.
