Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive agronomic plans for turfgrass maintenance, including fertilization, irrigation, pest, and disease management programs.
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of groundskeepers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage the operational budget, including labor, equipment, and material costs, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Oversee the calibration and operation of all golf course maintenance equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards.
- Maintain meticulous records of all maintenance activities, chemical applications, and budget expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and implement sustainable maintenance practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with progressive responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of turfgrass science, agronomy, and integrated pest management techniques.
- Experience in managing and leading a grounds maintenance team.
- Proficiency in irrigation system management and repair.
- Excellent understanding of golf course operations and member relations.
- Relevant horticultural or turf management certification is highly desirable.
