About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the meticulous maintenance and development of their prestigious golf course in London . This pivotal role involves leading a team of groundskeepers, managing all aspects of turf care, course presentation, and agronomic programs to ensure championship-level playing conditions year-round. The successful candidate will be instrumental in preserving the course's reputation, driving operational efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of the club, working within a dynamic environment that values expertise and a passion for horticultural excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive turfgrass management programs, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of groundskeepers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage the golf course maintenance budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising quality standards.
• Oversee course development projects and renovations, collaborating with architects and contractors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting sustainable practices.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Horticulture , Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
• In-depth knowledge of turfgrass species, soil science, pest and disease identification, and integrated pest management (IPM).
• Experience with irrigation systems , GPS technology, and modern golf course maintenance equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
