About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and development of their prestigious golf course located in London . This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of course conditioning, agronomy, and groundskeeping to ensure an exceptional playing experience for members and visitors. You will lead a team of dedicated grounds staff, implement innovative turf management practices, and uphold the highest standards of course presentation, contributing to the club's reputation for excellence and maintaining a world-class golfing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive course maintenance plans , including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Manage daily operations of turfgrass care, irrigation systems, pest and disease control, and bunker maintenance.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of groundskeepers and horticulturalists, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure the safe operation of all machinery.
• Implement sustainable agronomic practices to enhance turf health and environmental stewardship.
• Collaborate with club management and committees on course improvement projects and long-term strategic planning.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as an Assistant or Head Superintendent at a reputable golf facility.
• Proven expertise in turfgrass management , agronomy, and irrigation systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Knowledge of budget management, equipment purchasing, and fleet maintenance.
• Relevant qualifications in Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field are essential.
