About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the meticulous maintenance and development of our prestigious golf courses. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team in a fully remote capacity, leveraging technology and strategic planning to ensure world-class playing conditions across multiple sites. You will be instrumental in implementing innovative turf management practices and driving operational excellence from a distance, working closely with on-site teams and management to uphold the highest standards of course presentation and playability, all while fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainable operations within the club.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive turf management plans, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control strategies, remotely monitoring progress and providing guidance.
• Oversee and manage the groundskeeping budget , ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effectiveness across all maintenance operations.
• Lead, train, and motivate remote and on-site groundskeeping teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment through effective communication tools.
• Conduct regular virtual site assessments and performance reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Source and manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors for equipment, materials, and specialized services.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in golf course maintenance technology and sustainable practices, integrating them into operational strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in golf course management , with a proven track record of success.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and complex operational plans from a remote setting.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass science, integrated pest management, and irrigation systems .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, particularly in a virtual team setting.
• Proficiency with modern golf course management software and communication platforms is essential.
