Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical studies for the grid connection of renewable energy projects (e.g., solar farms, wind turbines, battery storage).
• Develop grid integration strategies and solutions to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Liaise with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) to manage connection agreements and processes.
• Analyze grid network performance and identify potential constraints or issues related to new generation.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for grid integration within the energy sector .
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in grid integration , power systems engineering, or network planning.
• Strong understanding of power system dynamics, stability, and protection principles.
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and their grid interface requirements.
• Experience working with grid operators and understanding of regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, particularly within the Portsmouth area context.
