About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategically minded Senior HR Advisor to join their team in Reading . This role is vital in providing expert HR support and guidance to management and employees across the organisation, ensuring HR practices are aligned with business objectives and legal requirements. You will play a key role in managing complex employee relations, supporting talent development, and contributing to HR policy implementation within the Berkshire area. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to contribute to a dynamic workplace and drive positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level HR advice and support to managers on complex employee relations, performance management, and HR policy matters.
- Lead and manage investigations into grievances, disciplinary issues, and other sensitive employee relations cases.
- Support the implementation of HR strategies related to talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement.
- Assist in the development and review of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK employment law.
- Contribute to HR projects, including organisational change initiatives and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor role or equivalent, with a strong understanding of UK employment law.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex employee relations and providing advice to management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and support employees in Reading and surrounding areas.
