Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior HR Advisor to provide comprehensive HR support to their operations in Reading . This role requires a strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices, coupled with the ability to manage complex employee relations cases and advise management on strategic HR issues. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of HR, including complex employee relations, performance management, and legal compliance.
- Manage and resolve a caseload of employee relations issues, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Support and advise on recruitment, talent development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with business needs and legal requirements.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and organisational effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices in the UK.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an HR Advisor or HR Generalist, with a strong focus on employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Proven ability to manage complex HR issues autonomously and provide effective advice to management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model within the Reading area.
