Senior HSE Advisor - Oil & Gas Operations

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive Senior HSE Advisor to join their operational support team in Plymouth . This vital role ensures the rigorous application of health, safety, and environmental standards across all site activities within the Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for advising management, conducting site inspections, developing safety procedures, and promoting a strong safety culture. This is a significant opportunity to contribute to operational integrity and risk reduction in a demanding industrial setting in Devon .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures across operations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and occupational health concerns, implementing corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training programs to all levels of staff.
• Advise management on HSE matters and assist in risk assessments.
• Maintain HSE records and prepare compliance reports.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector or heavy industry.
• Thorough understanding of UK HSE legislation and industry standards.
• Experience in developing and implementing safety management systems.
• Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a challenging environment.
