Senior HSE Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior HSE Engineer to join their operations in Plymouth . This vital role ensures the Health, Safety, and Environmental integrity of projects and operations, particularly within the challenging context of the oil and gas industry . You will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE strategies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including HAZID, HAZOP, and job safety analyses.
• Oversee incident investigation processes, identify root causes, and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international HSE legislation and industry standards.
• Deliver HSE training and promote a proactive safety culture amongst all personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in HSE management, preferably within the energy or construction sectors .
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems.
• Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
