Senior HSE Advisor - Renewable Energy

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior HSE Advisor to support their expanding operations in the Renewable Energy sector, operating from Leeds . This role is essential for ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across all project sites and operational facilities. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures to foster a robust safety culture. This is a critical position for a proactive individual committed to safeguarding personnel and the environment in the dynamic field of sustainable energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE management systems tailored to renewable energy projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide expert advice and training to employees and contractors on HSE regulations and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international HSE legislation and industry standards.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the renewable energy sector or heavy industry.
• Recognized professional HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH National Diploma, IOSH Membership).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of UK HSE legislation and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
