About the Role
Our client, an established organization within the Oil & Gas services sector, is looking for a proactive and experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join their team, operating remotely but with potential occasional travel to sites near Brighton . This role is essential for promoting and maintaining a strong health, safety, and environmental culture throughout the company's operations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This is a key position for driving safety excellence and contributing to the well-being of all employees in the demanding Oil & Gas environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend control measures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters to management and operational teams.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to ensure competency and awareness across the workforce.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure company policies remain compliant with current legislation.
Requirements
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry or a related sector.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and travel occasionally to operational sites.
