Senior HSE Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior HSE Advisor to support their operations in Edinburgh . This critical role ensures the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance are maintained across all company activities. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE strategies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide expert HSE advice and support to operational teams and management.
• Deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors to foster a safety-conscious culture.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international HSE legislation and industry standards.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in HSE roles within the oil and gas or related heavy industry sector.
• Thorough knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.
• Experience in developing and delivering HSE training.
• Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
