About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join their team in Plymouth . This role is essential for upholding and enhancing health, safety, and environmental standards across all operational sites. You will provide expert guidance, conduct audits, and develop strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the energy sector . Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide HSE training and guidance to employees at all levels.
• Prepare HSE reports and contribute to the continuous improvement of the HSE management system.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.

Requirements

• Relevant professional qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH National Diploma).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the energy or heavy industry .
• In-depth knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practices.
• Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety auditing.
• Strong communication, influencing, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
