About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior HSE Engineer to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all operations adhere to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HSE regulations and best practices within the oil and gas industry, contributing significantly to a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE management systems and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide HSE training and awareness programs to employees.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international HSE regulations.
• Advise management on HSE matters and contribute to safety strategy development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Engineering, Environmental Science) or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environmental role within the energy sector.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
• Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
