Senior HVAC Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Installation Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This is a critical role where you will be responsible for the end-to-end installation of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both commercial and domestic properties. You will lead installations, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize cutting-edge technology, and contribute significantly to the company's reputation for excellence in the Installation & Maintenance sector, playing a key role in project success from planning through to final handover and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, refrigeration, and control systems, according to design specifications and safety regulations .
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to plan installation routes, identify potential challenges, and ensure accurate material and labour estimations.
• Lead and mentor junior installation technicians, providing guidance and on-the-job training to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Perform pre-commissioning checks and system testing to verify functionality and performance before client handover.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of installations and address any site-specific requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of installation progress, materials used, and any deviations from the original plan.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Installation Engineer or similar role, with a strong track record of successful installations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and relevant installation techniques and standards.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, or mechanical engineering are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively during installation.
• A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the Leicester region.
