About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Hygiene Specialist to join their team in Belfast . This role is crucial for developing, implementing, and monitoring hygiene strategies across various facilities, ensuring compliance with stringent health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for assessing current practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This hands-on role requires a deep understanding of hygiene protocols and a commitment to creating safe, healthy environments for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive hygiene management systems and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Investigate and report on hygiene-related incidents or concerns, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Train staff on best practices for cleaning, disinfection, and waste management.
• Monitor the effectiveness of cleaning programs and update protocols as needed.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies and suppliers to ensure best practices are maintained.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Hygiene Specialist, Sanitation Manager, or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety standards , public health regulations, and COSHH.
• Excellent understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct effective training sessions and audits.
