Senior Industrial Engineer - Automation Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Automation to join their distributed engineering team. Key Responsibilities

• Assess current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for implementing automation solutions, including robotics, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and control systems.
• Design, develop, and specify automated systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and integration requirements.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams, external vendors, and system integrators to ensure successful implementation and commissioning of automation projects.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for automation initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for automated systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Stay current with emerging automation technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational capabilities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on automation and robotics implementation.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of robot programming , PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to complex automation challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively in a remote team environment.
