Senior Industrial Engineer - Operations

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a Senior Industrial Engineer to enhance operational performance within their facility located in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role requires an experienced professional adept at analyzing complex production systems, optimizing workflows, and driving efficiency gains through data-driven insights and best practice implementation. You will play a key part in projects aimed at improving productivity, reducing costs, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a strong analytical mindset and leadership potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of improvements to production processes, equipment utilization, and facility layouts.
• Conduct detailed performance analysis of operations, identifying key areas for enhancement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
• Manage projects related to process optimization, automation, and new product introduction.
• Collaborate with operations managers and shop floor personnel to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on engineering principles and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on manufacturing or operations.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
