Senior Industrial Engineer - Operations

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive Senior Industrial Engineer to focus on operations optimization within their Bradford -based facility. This role is crucial for driving efficiency, reducing operational costs, and enhancing the overall productivity of their core business functions. You will lead projects that redesign workflows, implement new technologies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of process improvements across various operational departments, focusing on efficiency and cost reduction.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Develop and manage project plans for operational change initiatives, ensuring timely and successful execution.
• Collaborate with department managers to understand their needs and translate them into effective engineering solutions.
• Implement and champion Lean and Six Sigma methodologies throughout the organization.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of the engineering team's capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Master's preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on operations and process improvement.
• Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, ideally with Black Belt certification.
• Strong analytical and data modeling skills, with experience in simulation and optimization software.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to manage complex projects.
